PowerTribe “Up With The Sword” – New Album Unleashed January 10, 2024

Winter is coming. Brace Yourselves, Metalheads, because PowerTribe, that thunderous power trio, is set to ride the digital waves with a highly ambitious album, “Up With The Sword”.

PowerTribe invites all to PREPARE to be immersed in an uncompromising musical experience as they unleash a barrage of heavy metal originals.

“Up With The Sword” is a testament to PowerTribe’s creativity and high-caliber musicianship as the album boasts 11 original tracks that showcases the band’s metal enthusiasm and talent.

It is a full collection of songs, all available as singles, but truly considered a complete work of art. Each song can stand on its own … but together, each song builds and builds to present a large perspective about these turbulent times and where we are heading. Much of their lyrics tend to be centered around the apocalyptic “last days”.

This USA band worked with Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Arch Enemy, among many other notable metal titans) from Denmark, and Hansen was able to culminate a sound that is huge … relentlessly taking the band’s sound to its fullest potential.

PowerTribe is honored to share the stage at “The Whisky a Go Go” for a rockin’ night with the fabulous Lita Ford. Doors open at 7pm. PowerTribe will be on stage at 8pm.

This will be an awesome event so take the opportunity if you are in the area of Hollywood, CA on Sunday March 5th as tickets for that evening are ranging from $40.00 – $1000.00 with service fees.

PowerTribe is excited about the new single called “You Make Me Wanna Live Forever” to drop on April 22, 2022.

This song was originally written on piano, but transformed into our band sound.

2020/2021 Covid, quarantines, masks, social-distancing … it got everybody “down”. We have personally lost many friends and family. This song is about Resilience, Strength and Hope. Be on the lookout for song/video snippets on various social media and we hope to bring this cool new ballad to light.

The original title “Three Kings of Orient”, also known as “We Three Kings of Orient Are” or “The Quest of the Magi”, is a Christmas carol that was written by John Henry Hopkins Jr. in 1857. Hopkins wrote the carol for a Christmas pageant in New York City. It was the first widely popular Christmas carol written in America.

PowerTribe’s original Christmas composition of “WE THREE KINGS” was recorded & produced by Darren Stroud, guitarist of PowerTribe, and the individual parts created by the whole band. We decided to play this one much faster so we could sing all the verses in the song. We think this version may be one of the few versions that include all the verses.

We hope that you enjoy this song and video presentation as much as we enjoyed creating it for you.

ESP Video Spotlight ~ Darren Stroud of PowerTribe

Starting off 2021 with an ESP video spotlight for Darren Stroud on the ESP website. They selected Darren’s tribute video to Eddie Van Halen in which Darren performs his version of “Somebody Get Me A Doctor”.

Note from Darren Stroud:

“This video was inspired by my good friend Susie Cakl (owner of PICKBAY). Susie sent me some genuine Eddie Van Halen picks (even one that he used in 2007 on stage … the pick is sitting in my pickbay necklace in this video). I decided to record one of my favorite Van Halen songs “SOMEBODY GET ME A DOCTOR” and it’s dedicated to Eddie Van Halen. The interesting thing about the early Van Halen recordings … Eddie’s guitar is panned completely to the left. So I grabbed just the right side of the audio and panned it slightly right and panned my guitar totally left. Fun Stuff! I detuned my guitar 1/2 step and plugged straight into my cranked Blankenship Plexi Amp and went to town. This is pretty much the way I expect Eddie would have done it.”
