ESP streamed the premiere of “ESP Presents 2022 – Phase 1”. This is an in-depth video featuring the first phase of ESPs “New for 2022” guitars as well as great live performance demos, artist interviews, and more. Darren Stroud is one of those Artist Interviews along with Alex Skolnick (Testament), Gary Holt (Exodus/Slayer), Jeff Hanneman (Slayer).

ESP Video Spotlight ~ Darren Stroud of PowerTribe

Starting off 2021 with an ESP video spotlight for Darren Stroud on the ESP website. They selected Darren’s tribute video to Eddie Van Halen in which Darren performs his version of “Somebody Get Me A Doctor”.

Note from Darren Stroud:

“This video was inspired by my good friend Susie Cakl (owner of PICKBAY). Susie sent me some genuine Eddie Van Halen picks (even one that he used in 2007 on stage … the pick is sitting in my pickbay necklace in this video). I decided to record one of my favorite Van Halen songs “SOMEBODY GET ME A DOCTOR” and it’s dedicated to Eddie Van Halen. The interesting thing about the early Van Halen recordings … Eddie’s guitar is panned completely to the left. So I grabbed just the right side of the audio and panned it slightly right and panned my guitar totally left. Fun Stuff! I detuned my guitar 1/2 step and plugged straight into my cranked Blankenship Plexi Amp and went to town. This is pretty much the way I expect Eddie would have done it.”

PowerTribe with Bumblefoot (guitarist guns n’ roses)

… October 19th, 2017 – PowerTribe with Bumblefoot

9pm: PowerTribe – If you can’t make the PowerTribe show on Wednesday night in Hollywood, then come out on Thursday Night OCTOBER 19th to the Whiskyagogo in Hollywood.

This should be a classic show. Bumblefoot (formerly the guitarist of guns n’ roses) will be performing and LA fans should see something different from him. He is a consummate musician.

PowerTribe will be direct support for this show and will play at 10:00pm. Be sharp and come out and check out the new songs. Also sharing the stage will be the John Welsh band.
