PowerTribe Live with Lita Ford at the Whisky a Go Go – Show Recap
This recap of PowerTribe live with Lita Ford at the Whisky a Go Go is dropping a little later than planned. After a show like this, it took us a minute to come down from the high, sort through photos, and give the night the proper write-up it deserves. And this was a night worth revisiting.
October 10th at the legendary Whisky a Go Go was one for the books. The Sunset Strip was buzzing as fans lined up early for a night of heavy riffs, big energy, and true rock royalty. The doors opened at 6:00pm, and by the time we hit the stage at 8:30pm, the room was already packed and hungry for music.
PowerTribe Live with Lita Ford at the Whisky a Go Go
There’s something special about playing the Whisky; you can feel the history in the room the moment you step on stage. The energy was electric, and from the first chord, we were locked in with the crowd.
Playing PowerTribe live with Lita Ford at the Whisky a Go Go was an opportunity we didn’t take lightly.
Our set had a little of everything: rockin’ guitar instrumentals, classic heavy metal grit, last days music, and a nod to the military. The audience was one of the most responsive we’ve had on the Strip, and if you were there, you know exactly what we mean.
Sharing the Stage With a Legend
Of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without the iconic Lita Ford. Although we had to step out during her soundcheck (a first for us), the Whisky crew brought us back in exactly when promised. Watching her command that stage after sharing the bill with her was super cool. Hearing the crowd erupt as she hit those iconic riffs reminded everyone why she’s a rock legend. It was truly an honor to share the stage.
A Night to Remember
Huge thanks to everyone who came out, grabbed the two-for-one tickets, showed up early, and rocked with us. It was a night to remember for so many reasons, including one we didn’t expect: the bass amp situation. Completely hidden behind a wall of guitar amps (all for Lita Ford and her crew), Missy had to slip around to the back just to hear herself or make adjustments.
It was unlike anything she’d dealt with before, but she powered through it with fun, grit, and zero complaints. Because when you get an opportunity like PowerTribe live with Lita Ford at the Whisky a Go Go, even the challenges feel like part of the story. And despite it all, we delivered a set we’re proud of.
In the end, those little moments just made the show even more unforgettable. That’s live music … unpredictable, loud, raw, and full of stories we’ll laugh about later. And the best part? It’s real … not A.I.-generated stuff. We can’t wait to get back on that Whisky stage again and do it even bigger and better next time.
Photos from the night are below, thanks to Enrique Sanchez & Rich Maza. It’s better up than never, and now the moment can live on properly.
