Missy Percifield

background

Missy has shared stages and recorded (vocals, keyboards, violins, bass) with regional to international artists of all styles. She’s recorded and performed with blues & jazz musicians working with artists from B.B. King to Wynton Marsalis. She has also recorded with mainstream pop artists Gwen Stefani and André 3000. Missy has also recorded with heavy-metal bands, working with popular engineers and producers that create and drive heavy-metal to its finest.

She has received rave reviews from audiences and critics throughout. She has been featured in several music e-zines, magazines, podcasts … and on radio & TV.

With her demure 4’10” stature, Missy is often seen in high  platforms. Shoe mogul/designer, Steve Madden (Tori Amos; Josie and the Pussycats), selected Missy to be featured on his site for Rising Stars. Interview, music, and pics of Missy in big shoes were all the fun.

Missy resides in Colorado/Los Angeles and working on more creative and aggressive compositions with PowerTribe. And although she didn’t grow up with bands like Iron Maiden, Arch Enemy, and Hammerfall in her background, her love for creating heavy metal music is certainly in her foreground.

INFLUENCES

Classically-trained since early childhood, Missy resigned her full scholarship at the I.U. Jacobs School of Music and traveled the U.S. to discover the culture and vibrant music styles.

Having performed since her childhood as a soloist or with symphonies and orchestras, Missy has become a well-rounded musician and performer as her classical influences have created a truly unique artist. She sites her biggest influences as Beethoven and Chopin.
