Steve Vai & Darren Stroud – incredible guitar jam live
INFLUENCES
Darren’s biggest influences include Randy Rhoads for scales and theory, and Jon Schaffer for rhythm guitars to Michael Ammot for overall guitar songwriting.
Darren listens to all guitar players and combines the energy, musicianship and vibe of his favorite influences to transform himself to be known as a modern-day guitarist and musician.
Endorsed artist
Darren has been featured on Guitar.com, Guitar Player, Progresiste, Expose; the KROQ winner for Limp Bizkit auditions; and offered guitar positions with national acts. His list of credits grows, yet his ability to adapt to a variety of musical situations hasn’t hindered his identity – but enhanced it.
NAMM Performer: Tech 21, Essential Sound Products, Spectraflex, Ernie Ball; Guitars by Mel McCullough Custom Guitars.
Gigging Musician
KISS was the reason that Darren picked up the guitar. Practicing chops at an early age, touring in his teens, and performing two thousand+ gigs, Darren’s guitar prowess is amazing and his ability to learn is incomprehensible.
Darren has composed & arranged original material with several musicians and bands. He has gigged regularly with popular groups ranging from rock to blues — while releasing multiple recordings with various bands on popular indie labels.
Darren has shared the stage with national to regional artists from Ted Nugent to Chris Duarte. He’s also performed at various showcases, benefits, and major festivals. He also enjoys entering into guitar contests and thrives on exchanging musical knowledge.
